Everyone will be (is) a suspect

The world may not suddenly slip into a regime of total surveillance (yet who knows...), but it's moving in that direction. As governments expand data collection, cameras become smarter and algorithms learn to identify "suspicious behavior” for example, the line between security and mass surveillance is gradually blurring.

Anyone who cares about privacy becomes a suspect. From inside your car to the supermarkets, AI video surveillance, which was once just a pilot program and at times illegal as it was in France for years, is set to become the norm.

With the cross-processing of all this data collected everywhere (in public and private spaces that are no longer truly private), all the time (smartphones, Alexa, smart TVs...), coupled with laws like the Cloud Act, the digital ID, it seems clear that eventually, a scenario like Minority Report will no longer be fiction. In fact, I think it’s already a reality, it’s just not really public knowledge. Maybe the AI in Westworld (don't look it up, mini spoiler) is already up and running, lol...
